Lip Blush

Lip Blush is a Semi-Permanent tint on your lips. It lasts up to 2 years! This is NOT the same as a lip tattoo, this is much lighter and natural looking.

We have a big color selection and color correction for dark lips is available! We can also lightly over-line the lips if you desire a slightly fuller look.

How it Works

Lip blushing is a semi-permanent tattoo that improves the color and shape of your lips and gives your lips the illusion of fullness. During the procedure, color ink is deposited on your lips and along your lip line in order to enhance the overall appearance. The color is subtle to give a natural-looking result.subtle to give a natural-looking result.

  • Results lasts up to 3 years
  • Results are immediate
  • Numbing is provided for a painless experience

STEP 1: Consultation
Your lips are examined before getting started. You and your artist will choose what color you want and what would look best base on your skin tone.

STEP 2: Numbing
A numbing gel is applied to the top lip for 20 minutes in order to make it as comfortable as possible. Before beginning the bottom lip procedure, you will be numbed again.

STEP 3: MAPPING
In order to ensure that your lip shape is correct, the lips will be outlined to perfection before the lip blush treatment begins. Our goal is to correct imbalances in your lips if you have asymmetrical lips.

STEP 4: LIP BLUSH BEGINS
Lips are first outlined with the desired color. After the outline is drawn, the lips are filled in with the chosen pigment using a shading machine.

STEP 5: AFTER CARE
You’ll be given a printed sheet with after care instructions as well as a verbal walk through of what to expect and how to care for your beautiful new lips. During the first 48 hours, you should avoid excessive sweating and be careful when eating. A healing ointment is provided for you to apply as part of your aftercare routine.

STEP 6: TOUCH UP
A perfecting appointment is recommended 2 months after the initial appointment in order to touch up the color and any patchy areas.

Healing Schedule

Day 1 and 2
The lips will be approximately 20 – 25% darker and bolder in width than when they will be healed. Your skin is red under the pigment, which causes the color of the pigment to appear dark and red. There is some swelling of the lips. This will subside. Exfoliation, which will begin in a few days, will cause the excess pigment surrounding the lips to flake away and a more narrow appearance will be the result. Do not be concerned that your lips initially appear darker and heavier in size than you desire. This is all part of the process. Leave them alone and do nothing to them.

Day 3
A scab begins to form and the lips start to itch and will appear a bit thicker in texture. Natural Exfoliation begins (This does not mean you have to exfoliate, this just means your lips are naturally exfoliating on their own). DO NOT remove scabs prematurely.

Day 4
The skin and scabs begins to flake.

Day 5
Color finishes flaking off and appears softer. It will be about a week or two until the color clarifies.

FAQ

How long does lip blushing tattoos last?

Lip blushing lasts around 2-3 years between treatments, the aftercare protocols and best practices are similar to those of a permanent tattoo.

What is the purpose of lip blushing?

Lip blushing focuses on altering both color and shape to create younger-looking lips. Everyone’s lips are different, and there’s no one standard of beauty. But if you would like to change the appearance or color of your lips, you may be interested in lip blushing.

Does lip blush hurt?

Lip blushing is usually performed by a licensed tattoo artist or an esthetician. The pain level has been described as minimal. A topical anesthetic is typically applied for about 20 minutes to numb your lips. Then, the technician draws the shape of what you want your lips to look like

Can I get lip blush If I have lip filler?

Yes! It is recommended to wait 2 months to let the product fully settle.

Is lip blushing better than lip injections?

It is a form of semi-permanent makeup that not only improves the shape of the lips but also gives definition and the illusion of fullness.

How many lip blush sessions do you need?

2 to 3 sessions

This varies from client to client. Typically, 2 to 3 sessions are required depending on the initial color of your lips and if we need to do some color correction around hyper pigmented (dark spots) lips. My intentions for your lip color is to keep it naturally soft and blushed, not to give you a lipstick look.

Please complete this Waiver at least 48 hour before your appointment!
